Here at Green Square Dental Dr Shapiro treats snoring using the MDSA snoring appliance. The MDSA® Appliance is a splint inserted into the patient’s mouth to reduce snoring and sleep apnoea in mild to moderate cases.

The MDSA® concept was designed in conjunction with Australia’s leading dentists, sleep physicians and dental technicians to treat the needs of their patients. Over the last 10 years the MDSA® concept has been subjected to extensive scientific and clinical testing and evaluations.

This appliance works by repositioning the lower jaw or mandible forwards. In doing this a patients airway is opened which decreases obstruction to airflow and reduces snoring.
